About

Larry the Locksmith is an owner operated mobile locksmith business based in Melbourne’s north, on Sydney road, Coburg (about 5km from the CBD). Prior to starting the business in 2007, the owner began his locksmith apprenticeship with API Security in 1996. In 1997 he moved to API’s Moonee Ponds branch which traded under the name of Albert Chantry Locksmiths. He completed his apprenticeship here in 2001 and continued to work for the firm for a further six years. Albert Chantry’s was a prestigious locksmith firm, providing unique (for the time) Abloy locking systems which were a premium lock, being extremely difficult to pick and requiring specialised machinery to make keys (Abloy is still a popular locking system today). Today, Larry the Locksmith provides a commercial and domestic locksmith service and is looking to provide restricted keying systems in the future. Larry the Locksmith is a member of the Master Locksmith Association of Australia and holds a current registration of the Victorian security licence.
